ABOUT US

Chris has always been an artist. While attending school in Halifax, Nova Scotia he decided to pursue a career in art by becoming an art teacher, then the program he wanted in Nova Scotia was closed. Of course he did the reasonable thing and joined the army as an infantrymen.

After an illustrious 10 years and many, many tours he retired to once again pursue a career in art. He was offered an apprenticeship at a well established shop and was happy to learn as much as he could about the art of tattooing. He has now branched out on his own with his wife Dana (body piercer, co-owner) and in 2006 opened his own shop called Dog House Ink Custom Tattoos and Body Piercing in Pembroke Ontario. His passions include Japanese art and custom design.

Dana has trained in Detroit, Michigan at a Tattoo and Piercing Trade School for Professional Body Piercing. This school is owned and operated by a Medical Doctor who is also a professional Tattooist and Body Piercer. Dana is licensed and certified in Detroit, Michigan as there is no licensing and certifications in Canada at this time. She is the only piercer in the area to have been trained in this manner. She is able to offer General and Exotic Body Piercing. Dana is proud to offer proper and safe body piercing for her clients.

After owning the shop alongside Chris for this long, Dana has finally given herself over to the dark side and is finally tattooing. From all accounts it is probably about time!!

We, at Dog House Ink, are very proud to also be offering professional and affordable laser tattoo removal with our Q-Switch YAG Tattoo Removal Laser. Both Chris and Dana are professionally certified to offer this service to our clients. The consultation is free; by appointment only.

Dog House Ink Custom Tattoos and Professional Body Piercing is not only passing Renfrew County Health Unit inspections but we are exceeding the standard. Dog House Ink is not only inspected by the Health Unit it is also recommended by the Renfrew County Health Unit for tattooing, piercing and laser tattoo removal.
